Screen-Free Sundays: Paper Cities

  • Dalnavert Museum and Visitors' Centre 61 Carlton St. Winnipeg, MB (map)

Calling all junior architects! Become a mini designer and create your own pop up paper bag buildings inspired by the architecture of Winnipeg’s past.

Participants will explore the fascinating details of Victorian and Edwardian architecture, including towers, porches, bay windows, decorative trim, and colourful façades. Children will design and build their own three-dimensional buildings using a simple paper bag and collage materials, which can then be combined to create a miniature historic streetscape. This hands-on activity encourages creativity while introducing children to the architectural elements that make historic structures like Dalnavert so unique.

Tickets are $5 per person (plus GST and applicable online processing fees)
