Step into the candlelit parlour of Dalnavert Museum for an unforgettable evening. From creeping dread and supernatural terror to obsession, madness, and murder, experience the strange and unsettling world of one of the nineteenth century’s most celebrated writers. 

Guests will experience dramatic readings of classic Edgar Allan Poe stories such as “The Tell Tale Heart” and “The Raven.” Before the reading starts explore the historic house after hours, and during intermission enjoy a specialty Poe-themed cocktail or mocktail and a selection of charcuterie.

Accessibility

The reading takes place in the parlour, which is accessible to most wheelchairs. Self-guided exploration of the upper floors of the historic house is only possible via stairs.
