Mourning fashion was at its peak during the reign of Queen Victoria. How you grieved was framed by rigid social expectations extending to the clothes you wore. Learn about the history of mourning dress with Dressed to Grieve: The Style of Sorrow in the Victorian Era, our special spooky season edition of The Language of Dalnavert, a lecture series with Dalnavert’s Collections Registrar, Inés Bonacossa..
